Below are descriptions of the committee chairperson positions available. Please check the positions you are interested in or would like to have more information regarding. If interested in multiple positions, please rank your interest in positions with 1 being the highest.

MPE Executive (Ongoing) - Works with building staff and grade coordinators to plan events and schedule volunteers throughout the school year.

Grade Coordinator (Ongoing) - Provide grade specific communications to parents and staff from the PTO. Work with the building executive to provide support for school-specific PTO functions.

Book Fair Team (Fall & Spring) - Co-lead the book fair for a specific school's book fair. Includes communicating with the staff about book fair specifics, scheduling class previews, sales, and volunteer needs, and planning with the book fair team. Several chairs for each school are preferred.

Communications Committee (Ongoing) - Leading a team to publish PTO newsletter and facilitate other communications between the PTO, schools, & families in our district.

Dawg Walk (Fall) - With the executive board, plan the fundraiser including prizes, t-shirts, and the school celebration events. Multiple chairs are needed for the various portions of the fundraiser.

Family Engagement Team (Ongoing) - Lead a team of parents and principals to facilitate fun social and/or educational events (ex. Bingo, Movie Night, etc) throughout the year for each school's students and their families. One volunteer needed at each school.

HANDS Around the World (Spring) - Help organize this one-day event for Lincoln Trail students where they explore countries/cultures in their school, turning it into a “virtual globe”.

Spirit Wear Team (Ongoing) - Lead a team to select & coordinate sales of spirit items at registrations, family engagement events, and online.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) Team (Ongoing) - Lead a team of parents & teachers to discuss options for supplemental STEM-related programs or experiences in the schools.

Staff Appreciation Team (Monthly) - Coordinate ways to show our appreciation for staff of the schools.
